The Pohang Accelerator Laboratory(PAL) at the Pohang University of Science and Technology(POSTECH) invites applications for postdoctoral positions beginning on or after January 1, 1999. The positions are mainly for the synchrotron radiation based research and beamline upgrades/constructions. However, some positions will also be considered for the excellent applicants who have backgrounds in the accelerator related sciences. The successful candidates are expected to play leading roles in the synchrotron radiation based research and beamline upgrades/constructions at PAL. Experiences in synchrotron based researches are highly desirable. The salary is about 15.6 million wons/year plus housing. The appointment is for two years with a possible extension for another year.
