Development of the 100/150 GHz band dual channel SIS receiver and line survey of CRL2688 We have developed the 100/150 GHz band dual channel receiver system to make a simultaneous observation of millimeter waves. The Gaussian beam theory is applied to the design of the quasioptical system to determine the layout of the dual channel receiver system. Two beams divided near the Cassegrain focus propagate to their feeding systems placed in the cryogenic dewar through their quasioptical components. To get the performance of the low noise, SIS(Superconductor Insulator Superconductor) mixers are used for both bands, which are operated in a refrigerator of 4.2 K. The measurements of the dual channel receiver system and its subsystems are accomplished in the laboratory. The average receiver noise temperatures are 50 K for 100 GHz band and 80 K for 150 GHz band in DSB mode. This receiver system is installed in the 14 m radio telescope of Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory (TRAO). The first light is successfully detected in both bands. The relative pointing offset between two bands is 3".

Using this system sixteen transitions of seven molecular species and some of their isotopomer are detected in the line survey of 3 mm band toward a proto planetary nebula, CRL2688. A few specific lines in 2 mm band are also detected, which are the multi transitions or their isotopomers of the molecules detected in 3 mm band. CO, CS, HCN, HNC, HC3N, C2H, and CN are detected, which are compared with those in IRC+10216. The multi-transitional line study of HC3N (Cyanoacetylene) in two different regions are carried out. Six multi transitions of HC3N in 3 mm and 2 mm bands are detected in the star forming regions and in the envelope around the evolved star. Assuming the LTE, the rotational temperatures are obtained by the rotational diagram. These results show the rotational temperatures of 17.7¡­23.0 K for six sources in different regions. There is no significant difference in rotational temperature between star forming region and the envelope around the evolved star.
